The third day on the water. After a great night where the spinnaker stood all night (just...) the Fishing rod was thrown out at sunrise. Not much later it was all hands on deck because we had caught our first fish.
Dirk took the rod and we saw something jumping in the distance. Ludwig and Maarten quickly took down the spinnaker. After a short struggle the pulling in became lighter. The first caught fish, a 50 cm Makrel, had pulled itself dead on the rope. The first suicidal fish in history ;). He tasted well for lunch.
All day we had great winds large parts with only the Genua and Main sail. From position reports received from Ralph we know that we are slightly behind the ARC and have the Lola a little in front of us but more Easterly.
On to the first night with Passat winds.
